A really interesting post on the Zoho blog, “Companies Don’t Get Killed by Competition, They Commit Suicide

My two favorite quotes.

But if there’s anything I’ve learned from my years in the tech world is that companies don’t get killed by competition, they usually find creative ways to commit suicide.

Then:

…hating competitors is a good way to lose objectivity and lose focus on customers.

Zoho has the right perspective. They cannot control what Microsoft and Google deliver. But they can control their own user experience and how they interact with their customer.
